The Democrats Dilemma

The egalitarian principle (car) that the Democrats have been chasing has been caught. Not what? Is it possible to have everyone equal or does someone have to win? In politics someone MUST WIN! However, the way the Democrats have structured their primary season no one can win and what could wind up happening is that the whole damned priamry, democratic process is abandoned with the smokeless back-room wheeling and dealing determining who will be the Democratic nominee.

The FACTS are as follows:

1-Obama has the most number of pledged delegates (via the democratic process).

2-Obama has won twice as many states.

3-Obama has gotten the majority of the popular vote

4-Hillary cannot possibly catch up on pledged delegates: it’s mathematically impossible, Pennsylvania notwithstanding, not any of the remaining twelve states.

5-But, Obama can’t win either!

Say what?

Neither Obama, nor Hillary can win enough pledged delegates, due to the egalitarian, no losers mentality. To win without having the Super Delegate stepping in and making a decision something untoward must happen! Who can get really nasty? My bet is that Hillary can dish it out much better, after all she’s been doing it for decades and she’s the MOST EXPERIENCED! So, what’s going on behind the scenes is alot of posturing and POLITICING! A whole lot.

>Do this for me and I’ll do this for you.

>Vote for me and I’ll guarantee you this position.

>Back me and I’ll see to it that you get a handsome reward 2-3 years down the road so that people can’t tie your support of me to the trade off I’ll give to you.

>And yes, vote for me or I’ll expose that which you’ve been hiding from your wife and the public.

Tell me it isn’t so! I wished I could be then I’d be lying. Hey, wait! This is politics! Obama better increase his prayer life.

So, the behind the scenes politicing goes on and gets more intense. Can “David” Obama defeat the “Giant” Hillary? Can the new generation take out the old political machine? Will we see something NEW or will we go back to politics as usual. Politics as usual would mean either four more years of Bush-iness under McCain or as few more years of Clinton-istis under Hillary.

Either scenario sounds depressing to me!
